LANTAU INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (L.I.S.) — A UNIQUE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT SINCE 1995

L.I.S. was established in 1995 to provide a high-quality international education in a green learning environment to children growing up on South Lantau. It started off as a small, parent-led school with a handful of children at our Tong Fuk campus. To this day, we remain a small family-run business upholding traditional academic values.

At L.I.S. we believe in:

• Respect: respect the rules, oneself, one another, the teachers, nature, etc.
• Honesty: be honest with others and yourself, tell the truth, for example if you don’t understand something or if something is worrying you, and own up to mistakes
• Hard work: school is to make friends and have fun, but it is also first and foremost a place to work hard to gain knowledge and acquire skills

We ensure that learning is accessible and engaging, and in close partnership with families, we do our utmost to support our students and adapt to their needs.

We believe that education should be affordable and have no debentures or hidden fees. We are proud to have some of the lowest international school fees in Hong Kong and provide all learning materials free of charge.

We are proud to have students from over 30 nationalities and stand for tolerance and respect. We also take a firm stance against bullying.

A LEARNING ENVIRONMENT THAT WORKS

With a maximum class size of 22 students in Reception Class and 24 students at primary level, we ensure individual attention and effective teaching.

Homework is assigned thoughtfully to reinforce learning, with daily reading as a key focus, to support long-term academic success.

Our campus libraries house over 5,000 books, and while classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards, computers and robots (available from Primary 4 onwards), we prioritize hands-on, paper-based learning, especially in the early years to develop fine motor skills, focus and memory.

All campuses are easily accessible via school buses and public transport.
