LOCATION OF THE LIS SCHOOL IN HONG KONG LANTAU is the biggest island of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with a resident population of about 50,000 people on its south shore and the new town of Tung Chung on its north shore. The Hong Kong International Airport of Chek Lap-kok is on Lantau. The island is linked by road to the New Territories and Hong Kong Island. There are also a MTR station at Tung Chung and a regular ferry going from Mui Wo (Silvermine Bay) to Central in 25 minutes.
The Lower Primary levels (P1 to P3) are located at Tong Fuk, while the Upper Primary levels (P4 to P6) are at Pui O. Both villages, on the South shore of Lantau enjoy magnificent beaches. LIS also manages a Reception class (4y old) at Mui Wo (Silvermine Bay).
There are four school bus routes: one going directly from/to Discovery Bay, two from/to Tung Chung and a one from/to Mui Wo market place. |
